NeedsMeeting

Going on a few years ago I made numerous posts on Linkedin about self-sufficiency and making the best value of things and meeting your needs in simple ways: - Recipes - Ideas for looking after yourself - Car maintenance - this kind of thing Simple things that are useful to do in life. Perhaps you can view them like Amish ways if you're American. I don't know, I haven't read their book. But I'm now making a post on this forum. This one is all about making Apple Jam. I'm 61 years old and I didn't realise up till now that Apple Jam was actually possible but I found this out thanks to AI, Google's AI, Gemini actually. Apples are high in pectin and they set very well for jam. Why Apple Jam is not available in shops I've no idea but it seems to be a perfectly good use of apple. For example from my mother's garden, her 40- to 50-year-old apple tree, we're probably getting £15, that is, in pounds sterling, of apples a week. It's just a problem dealing with the sheer amount of apples at the moment. 5Kg of apple a week. I've posted a photograph of the 5+ 1lb jars of apple made.
